E3 is once again around the corner and I did want to take some time talking about what games and announcements I want to see from the show. However, 2019 is going to be an "interesting" time for E3.
So today not only am I giving my predictions, I also want to talk about the news about who is and isn't going to E3 2019. Let's get started...

Back in late 2011 and early 2012 Nintendo started to adopt the idea of Nintendo Directs. Small presentations that served the purpose of telling fans news about different games coming Nintendo systems, from release dates, to development updates, and even revealing new games entirely. Nintendo fans really liked them and over time Nintendo saw how popular they were and began to do them more frequently. They use Directs to help spread information throughout the year and every time one is announced Nintendo fans rejoice.
Personally speaking, I love Directs. They're always balanced with good announcements for stuff we already know about and really nice surprises no one saw coming. I see them as "Micro E3's" a time when Nintendo can give rapid fire announcements to games we already know about. I also feel Nintendo knows how to properly balance what to show in a normal Direct and what to in their big E3 Directs. However, they don't always do this perfectly and Nintendo has grown a habit just announcing Directs about a day before they happen with little to no other information or input beforehand. Not to mention the amount of rumors and leaks which range from "possible" to "you got some pipe dreams". You see, it's the lack of information before the Directs and all of the rumors and "leaks" in between that made me create these little tips and tricks. So Today Arza, Shadow, and I are going to give some tips and tricks on how to predict Nintendo Directs and what games they present. |
